Review
I have two $300 in-ear hearing aids that I have been using for the last few years. But, they are not powerful enough for me anymore. On a lark I tried the Axon V163 Hearing Aid and was amazed. For $13 and change it is not much of a risk. What a difference! Set at only between 1-2 on the volume control, it is much louder than the $600 pair and works fine. It is big but smaller than I had thought. My wife says that it is hardly noticeable -- especially if I comb my hair over my ear. I just ordered two more. One for my other ear and one for a friend that has $600 hearing aids but can't wear them. Now don't get me wrong. I don't think it can or even should compare to a digital aid. But for the money it is a great buy. I have advised my friend to go back and get his digitals adjusted or replaced but I felt that he might like this in the mean time.
